The second installment of Derek Landy's Skulduggery Pleasent series see's the pair go up against baron Vengeous, a general from a age old war who has been imprisoned for the past 70 years. I like this book because og Skulduggery's witty humour such as when he arrests a bad guy and says hat he is under arrest for murder, conspiracy to commit murder and littering. Stephanie Edgley is his sidekick who is just learning the ropes of magic.The team travel in a Vintage 1954 R-continental black Bentley with a myriad of futuristic technology that accompanies them wherever they go (due to it being their taransportation).

All in all a great book, 5 stars which has gained international applause by critics everywhere and is awesome reading material for little munchkins and..... old people alike.
