Eragon; The Story So Far, By Arnet 7S

Summary :
Eragon, an ordinary farm boy has found a polished blue 'rock' in an 'accursed' place called The Spine.This is the start of trouble as what came out was none other than a dragon. Saphira the dragon.Eragon has established what you would call a 'contract' with Saphira; his palm has the mark of Gedway Ignasia.

Eragon has visited Brom, the story-teller, and discreetly gained knowledge of dragons. Not only this, he is also told the ancient past, revealing the truth, about dragons and exactly who it is whom ruled over them. Basically, Eragon was told that the elves had a war against the dragons, the war raged until finally an elf found a dragon egg. This started the legacy of dragon riders, the elf's name was Eragon. This had stopped the war but a thrust for power soon occurred.

Galbatorix, a 'rookie genius' grew quickly among the ranks. Though during a rash mission, he foolishly loses his dragon; which is equal to losing his mind. They others didn't grant him another egg, and so bent on revenge, using persuasion to get riders on his side, he gained control and is now known as the Emperor.

Moving back, the Gedway Ignasia allows Eragon to reach Saphira through his mind; know her emotions and even suppress her, vice versa. However, strangers have come - servants of the reigning evil emperor, Galbatorix.

Not much is known about these strangers except they exceed human strength, and they are out for Eragon's, 'unhatched' as they think, egg. In the meantime, Eragon's body is scorched up after riding Saphira without a saddle.

Misfortune unravels - Garrow, Eragon's uncle, has died. following the same path, Eragon is bent on revenge. After, Brom is once again introduced and this time knowing about Saphira. He suspiciously has the ability to talk to her as well. Eragon accepts Brom and they travel together as Eragon receives a mesmerizing sword from Brom.

Brom shows his skills in this journey from swindling money, dealing or even craftsmanship and swordsmanship. They take horses and now, in a better condition, are out for revenge.

I think Brom is way to suspicious for a character but even so, he seems like a well thought-out protagonist. Either way, a fantastic book even making dragon riding seem so realistic.
