Thirst is a fantasy novel by christopher pike. It is based on a story of a female vampire. Thirst includes Romance/ Love and gruesome action. The story involves how a immortal monster survives, it is known in the story that vampires cute through human veins and drink the blood which pours out. Sita/Alisa (she has lots of names) is 5000 years old, her creator is yaksha. Because of becoming a vampire she had let go of everything, including her husband rama and her daughter lalita. Sita had hated yaksha for what he have done to her, now she had to kill to survive this world. She had been told from Krishna(god) that anyone that gets born - die, and those who dies gets reborn. Her husband died a long time ago but now after 5000 years she found Ray who she believes is her husband's reborn. Sita loved him just as much as her husband, although when Ray was in serious danger she had to change him to a vampire.
I love this book. It is very different from other vampire books.
