The famous Percy Jackson and the lightning thieves by Rick Riordan.The story is very interesting, i've seen the movie first before i read the book, so i decided that the book is actually much better because the book is detailed. The movie has some scenes that are not in the book, and they also cutted some improtant details.
The story is about a young, normal adolescent going to school. But then a tragic happened, Percy Jackson was in great danger, he nearly got killed by his maths teacher(which is weird). The Grover, his best friend, had to protect him from unexpected creatures and inform his mum. Grover knew that Percy is going to die is he doesn't change his fate because they saw 3 woman knitting and CUTTED the string(which means Percy's life is going to end soon) Grover, Percy Sally(percy's mother) came to the Half-Blood Hill, Sally's spirit was kept by Hades. Half-Blood Hill changed Percy's life forever, little did he knew, that he was the son of the god of the sea.
Together, Grover, Percy and Anabeth(Athena's daughter) went on a quest to retrieve Percy's mother and stop war from happening since Zeus' lightning bolt has been stolen. It was a long journey and finally after so going through so many troubles, they finally stopped war and they were happy again.
I think that this book is one of the best book i had ever read, because of the story's structure and the great fantasy adventures.
