The Spooks Curse (Josh reading Challenge)

This book follows of from 'The Spooks Apprentice' and has Tom, a apprentice spook, help his master defeat 'The Bane', a very evil creature that is part of a prophecy made by witch clans that he would die by its hand. It doesnt succeed in killing the spook. anyway, this book is brilliant with my view. It has a perfect mix of drama (Tom has a witch friend), horror and chain-flinging action. It was even better than the last one which makes it a must read book. Remember though, not after dark.

Overall, there is no worst part and it deserves a solid 9.9 out of 10. Its a great book, read it sometime (after reading the first one).

Sounds like you really enjoyed this one Josh - who was your favourite character and why?

My favortite character was the quistitor who appears a bit on into the book because he may not be fuly explored personality on looks wise but he adds a whole new level of danger for the spook (he hates the entire evil and good magic scene) and his appearence gives the book a more intricate and detailed storyline while also adding more emotion to the book when he executes civilians deemed "witches and warlocks".
