This book is written by Malorie Blackman. She wrote quite a few good books like Hacker and Pig heart boy. In this story it is written in two different perspectives, Mike and Gemma. Gemma is jealous of Mike because even though his he only lives with his grand parents he has a happy family when she doesn’t. When I’m reading in Mike perspective it is interesting to know his fear, of how his friends would react when they know that his mother is in jail, and his anger towards Gemma because she was the only one that knows and she is using his fear to make him do terrible things for her. When Gemma asked him where his mom was he even lied and said that she was dead.
Overall this is and interesting book but it was quite sad.
