Wow wow wow Today I have been reading alot!
well actually I just forgot to blog ... so it looks like I read everything today. :D

In this book Alicia goes to Spain without her parents
for the summer. She finds out that a famous spanish
star is looking for a real 'Spanish Beauty'
and Alicia is determined to be that beauty.

But her two twin cousins Celia and Isobel
are friends with the managers etc ... of the famous
star. So they were much closer to the fame than her!

Throughout the book Alicia begins to bond with
her cousin Nina (in the previous book
-Invasion of the boy snatchers she was a lying boy
stealing thief) But she seemed to have changed
since Alicia had last seen her.
Alicia desperately trys to be a Spalpha
(spanish alpha) but in the whole story
not until the end does she finally take notice
of a boy that has been watching her and trying to talk to her.
He was British and she didn't want him to interfere
with her trying to become a Spalpha and all.

At the end Alicia finds out that he is actually the star
and he used to live in England before some people
asked him to come to Spain and pretend to be
a famous Spanish star. They photo-shopped
his looks and everything except his voice which
was the main reason that they wanted him.

In the book I dislike the characters Celia
and Isobel because they were only being nice to
Alicia for her stylish american Ralph Lauren clothes.
And in the end they got a taste of their own
nasty medicine because since the star wasn't
actually Spanish he pretended he was sick
and another man had to step in for him and
they would photo-shop everything after
the shoot. So Celia and Isobel had to lick
ice-cream off the man's chest (and no offense
in the book it says that his chest was hairy-eww)

Overall this book is quite exciting and full of attempts
of blackmail and so on. Some successful and others
embarassingly failed.
