Meggie loves to read books and her father would often make up story’s for her to listen but he’d never read aloud. She never knew who her mother was. One night, a mysterious stranger called Dust finger came to their house; he wanted to talk to Mo. When Meggie was peeking behind her bedroom door she learned about a man named Capricorn. Her dad said that they were going away the very next day. They moved to their Aunt’s Ellinor house which is filled of books in fact the guest room was filled up to. After a while of piece they were tracked down by Capricorn’s men whom wrecked the place and took Mo away with them. Throughout the story Meggie learns that Mo didn’t read aloud to her because he has a gift of bringing things from a book to the real world but an object has to go into the book; Meggies mother was read into Inkheart accidentally by her father, however after countless attempt he could not ready her out because she was already read out by a man named Darius. The gift of reading things to life was also inherited by Meggie. In the end Capricorn try to use Meggie to read the Shadow out of Inkheart but a cleveryly devised plan by Fenoglio. Every trace of evil was wiped out of Capricorn village by the shadow. Dustfinger, however, was disappointed to find out that Mo did not know how to read people back in to story.
My most favorite character is Farid because it is funny when he always follows Dustfinger and Dustfinger tried to get away from him but he failed. Farid was also a fast learner, he learned quickly how to talk to fire like Dustfinger but haven't mastered it as well yet.
8/10
