John Baxter keeps in contact with Dayne. With every phone call they are getting closer. Ashely and Landon love their little boy and Cole loves having a brother. Ashley is now working with Katy in the theatre group. Katy is struggling to keep away from the press and is worried about her privacy. Dayne is worried about what they will make up about her. Will they ever be able to have a relationship? Ashley Baxter is the first to work out who her brother is now all the Baxters know.
At the very end of the book Dayne sorts himself out. He proposes to Katy and turns up at the Baxters annual lake picnic day.
