This year Greg starts with a new year resolution it was tough for him to do this but he finally got to the point that there was nothing in him that he could improve because he was Mr. Perfect so he decided to improve other peoples life as his revolution obviously no one liked Greg improving lives. And for his christmas gift from his uncle he got a laundry "hoop" which led to an incredible idea from his mom that now he should start doing his own laundry Now Mr. Heffley is fed up with Greg's wimpy ways . Also, the "baddest teenager on the street, Lenwood Heath gets shipped out to military school . Later on seeing Lenwood at a ticket booth with a crew cut , proper and incredibly polite this causes Frank to decide to enroll Greg into military school Now greg is trying everything to convince them not to send him to military school . He tries everything else. The Snellas, are again having a half-birthday for their youngest child Seth. During the party, the adults in the neighborhood have to perform silly acts and Mr. Snella sends the videotapes to America's Funniest Families, a spoof of America's funniest home video's, to win the $10,000 prize. It is that Frank hates the performing and will do anything to get out of it.(((After reading this book i was again back remembering my summer vacation and laughing ,this is really a nice book for a great reading time and after reading this book memories come flooding back :))))
