this is a novel about racism, a girls life that been judged by her friends in school. She tries to fit in to the popular side but the girls in her school smokes and do things that she knows she can't do. But if she don't then her life in school and possibly the outside world she will be judged about her skin. The kids in her school taunts her about her skin, her embarrassing home-made clothes...etc. Maleeka had lost her loving father and suffers without him, maleeka would do anything to change the position that she is in right now. This is a novel about courage.
